A reminder (and an invitation) to our Intercultural Workshop on Sunday 1st June 2024.
This is a very important event in the life of our Church
and is part of the priority we have given in growing
relationships between all members of our congregation.
As part of our Mission Plan, we are committed to following
the Uniting Church Call to be a multicultural Church.
To help us on this journey there will be an Intercultural
Workshop for both the 9.30am Community and the Fijian
Community.
It will be held on June 1 after morning Worship. It will go
from 10.30 to 2.00 and will include lunch.
It will be lead by Tina Rendell-Thornton
Tina writes “The Intercultural workshop will increase your
understanding of why we do what we do, how culture
influences our attitudes and behaviour and things to think
about when we engage across cultures. Its aim is to
improve our intercultural relationships and assist us to
become a more inclusive and effective intercultural church.”
The Church Council strongly encourages you to take part.
